This exhibit will display the work of 5 women who, within a challenging cultural framework, were and continue to be influential in the development of Loveland as an art center and for creating a reputation for excellence in art for which Loveland is known. With artistic bravado and innovation, these artists have established international reputations, garnered prestigious public commissions, and built an impressive body of work that pushed the field of sculpture to new heights and the art community to a well-deserved level of appreciation. Loveland’s status as an art center is well-established, and this group of artists is part of that important history, while continuing to produce thought-provoking, challenging and engaging works of art.
